Microsoft Lumia 650 (dual-SIM) launched in India at Rs 15,299

After announcing the Lumia 650 earlier this year, Microsoft has today launched the smartphone in India. The enterprise-focused smartphone is priced at Rs 15,299 and has gone on sale in two color variants — matte black and matte white. The company has launched the dual-SIM variant today, and says that it is aimed at those who “seek harmony in their work and personal lives.”

It sports a 5-inch HD (720p) AMOLED ClearBlack display with pixel density of 297ppi and is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the heart of the Lumia 650 runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 1GB of RAM, and comes 16GB internal storage, which can further be expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front, it comes with an 8-megapixel f/2.2 rear camera with 2x digital zoom and LED flash, while up front there is a 5-megapixel f/2.2 wide angle selfie camera. The Lumia 650 also features a 2,000mAh battery that Microsoft says is good enough for up to 16 hours of talktime on 4G connection  and up to 26 days on standby mode. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

Microsoft Lumia 650 spotted on Amazon India for Rs 16,599

For everyone anxiously waiting for the release of a new Windows Phone, Microsoft appears set to soon begin selling the Lumia 650 in India. While the company's official India store still lists it as 'Coming Soon', a third-party seller has listed the smartphone for sale at Rs. 16,599 via Amazon India.

The Microsoft Lumia 650 was originally unveiled in February, when Microsoft said the smartphone strikes the "perfect balance between work and personal needs." It is the most recent Lumia to be launched, and is among a handful of smartphones that Microsoft has launched in past one year and a half.

As this is a third-party seller listing, we advise users to exercise caution, and it's very possible Microsoft may officially launch the smartphone at a different price. The Microsoft Lumia 650 is currently available in its White colour variant. The Black variant of the Lumia 650 on Amazon India is no longer available to purchase.

Microsoft Lumia 550 with Windows 10, 4G Support launched in India, priced at Rs 8,909: Specifications, features

After launching the high-end Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL last month, Microsoft has launched the affordable Lumia 550 smartphone in India. The Windows 10 smartphone is priced at Rs 8,909 on Snapdeal. 

The Lumia 550, not surprisingly, is the most affordable Windows 10 smartphone in Microsoft’s lineup. Unlike aforementioned high-end smartphones though, the Lumia 550 misses out on features like Continuum, and Windows Hello.

Microsoft Lumia 550 specifications and features: 

The smartphone flaunts a 4.7-inch HD LCD display at a pixel density of 315ppi. It is powered by a rather dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.1GHz and paired with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Also on offer is 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front, the smartphone is equipped with a 5-megapixel f/2.4 rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording capabilities. Up front is a 2-megapixel f/2.8 selfie camera with 480p video recording capabilities.

The Lumia 550 also features a FM Radio, and a 2,100mAh battery that Microsoft claims is good enough for up to 16 hours of talktime and up to 28 days on standby mode. Connectivity options include single-SIM card slot, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

On paper Microsoft’s Lumia 550 is a tad disappointing especially when you consider the dated processor, 1GB of RAM and a single SIM card slot. When you take this into consideration, Microsoft’s choice of the price tag is quite baffling.

HP to Launch First Windows 10 Smartphone in Early 2016: Report

Famous for its wide range of printers and computers, California-based global company Hewlett-Packard (HP) is reported to unveil its first Windows 10-powered smartphone early next year. The surprise announcement about its “HP Falcon” flagship smartphone may come during the upcoming “Mobile World Congress 2016” in Barcelona, Spain, from February 22-25, Bidnessetc  reported.

The HP Falcon is rumored to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, Adreno 530 GPUset with 2GB RAM and 5.8 inch QHD display. The device may have an in-built 64 GB storage and will feature a 20 mega pixel rear camera with a 12 MP front camera.

These specifications may make it well ahead of other Windows 10 smartphones like recently launched Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL. According to the report, the launch of HP Falcon will present Windows lovers with more choices and may force Microsoft to go ahead with its Surface smartphone.

Microsoft Lumia 850 'Honjo' Design Revealed In Latest Leaked Press Photo,Windows 10 Mobile Mid-Range Phone

An unannounced Lumia 850 handset codenamed "Honjo" just surfaced in a new render, this time showing the device in all its glory, front and back. The Lumia 850 should come as an upper-mid-range smartphone running Windows 10 Mobile.

Codenamed "Honjo," the Microsoft Lumia 850 is expected to launch as a replacement for the Lumia 830. Amid intensifying rumors, a new Lumia 850 "Honjo" render just surfaced online, giving a good look at the handset's design.

Unlike previously leaked images, the latest render posted by prolific leaker @evleaks now shows the smartphone in all its glory, front and back. The photo shows the smartphone’s front and back in full glory, revealing its design. On the front, there’s a front-facing camera with LED flash, just above the screen.

Another press photo has been leaked on Baidu, which shows the color options of the smartphone. There’s a combination of white and rose-gold frame, a black model with copper-color frame, and the one with plain steel-looking one.

Evleaks' render shows the Lumia 850 in white, but a gold Microsoft logo on the back and some gold accents on the frame and buttons make for a subtle color scheme.

Lumia 850 specifications and features: 

On the specifications front, there is no concrete information. While one rumor suggests that it could come with 5-inch HD (720p) display, and powered by Snapdragon 410 SoC and 1GB of RAM. However, other rumor suggests a 5.7-inch full HD display and a Snapdragon 617 SoC.

On the photography front, a 10-megapixel Pure-View Technology camera is also expected at the back and either a 5-megapixel or 8-megapixel sensor at the front with LED flash. Other features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are also expected.
