Moto E4 Plus with 3GB RAM, 5,000mAh battery launched in India, priced at Rs 9,999: Specs and features

As promised, Motorola has launched its first-ever battery-centric smartphone, Moto E4 Plus, today in India. Priced at Rs 9,999, the smartphone is Flipkart-exclusive, and will be available starting tonight at 11:59PM. Buyers will be able to choose from color options like iron gray, and fine gold. There will be a limited edition oxford blue color, which is expected to be available in India sometime later this year.

Buyers will be able to avail a bunch of launch-day offers on the Moto E4 Plus. These include, discounts on the moto pulse 2 headphones that will be available for Rs 649, and free two months of Hotstar Premium subscription. Other deals include 84GB 4G data for Idea Cellular users for three months, and Jio Prime with 30GB extra data. Lastly, the Moto E4 Plus is a part of Flipkart’s Buyback Guarantee offer, and there is also an exchange offer on the phone of up to Rs 9,000.

The key feature of the Moto E4 Plus is its 5,000mAh battery, which is supported with 10W rapid charger. The company says that the battery is good enough to last up to two days on a single charge. The battery is supported with Motorola’s rapid charging technology. Although it is the first smartphone from the Lenovo-backed company to boast a massive battery, recently, nubia N2 also made it to the Indian market with an equal battery capacity. In comparison to the Moto E4 Plus, the Nubia N2 is priced at Rs 15,999.

Moto E4 Plus features a unibody design in metal finish. The overall design language is quite identical to the Moto G5 series. There is a circular camera module in the center of the back panel. It has a home button on the front, which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. Unlike other smartphones which are IP rated, the Moto E4 Plus has nano-coating for dust and water resistance. The nano-coating does not mean the device can be submerged into water or other liquids. Instead it can survive an accidental splash of water.

Talking about the specifications, the Moto E4 Plus is equipped with a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood is MediaTek MTK6737M SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB internal storage on offer, which can be further expanded via microSD card.

For photography, it is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, auto-focus and LED flash. It is capable of recording videos in 720p @30fps. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture with fixed focus, and supported with LED flash. The front camera is capable of capturing photos in HDR. Another highlight of the smartphone is support for Dolby ATMOS.

On the software front, it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, MicroUSB, and 3.5mm headset port.

Moto E4 Plus to launch on July 12 in India, exclusively via Flipkart

Lenovo-owned Motorola is all set to unveil the Moto E4 Plus smartphone in India on July 12. Following the launch date announcement by Motorola, Flipkart teased the Moto E4 Plus on Twitter confirming that the smartphone will be exclusive to the e-commerce platform.

Flipkart posted an 18-second teaser video of the Moto E4 Plus announcing the exclusive partnership with Motorola. The video ends with the confirmation of Moto E4 Plus launching on July 12, and being exclusive to Flipkart. The tweet also states that the Moto E4 Plus will be unveiled on Flipkart at 12:00PM on July 12 hinting on the availability details of the smartphone. Although the Moto E4 Plus’ launch is confirmed, there has been no official word on the Moto E4. Motorola had globally launched the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus together last month.

Coming back to the Moto E4 Plus, it features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 427 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. In terms of memory, the Moto E4 Plus is available in two variants of 2GB RAM plus 16GB storage, and 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The availability of the different storage variants will depend on the region. 

In the photography department, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. On the software front, the Moto E4 Plus runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The connectivity options available include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1 and Wi-Fi. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor which is embedded on the home button.

Moto E4, Moto E4 Plus price, specifications, photos leaked ahead of launch

For the past few weeks, we’ve been spotting Motorola’s upcoming Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus quite frequently on the rumor mills. While Lenovo or Motorola are yet to confirm a launch date for these smartphones, there’s no stopping the trickle of leaks. The full specifications, image and price of the upcoming Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus have now been leaked. The Moto E4, as the name suggests, is the successor to last year’s Moto E3 series.

Speaking about the image shared by German website Winfuture, it shows the Moto E4’s front and back panels. Needless to say, the latest leaked image is in line with earlier leaks. On the front, we have the selfie camera, earpiece and the Moto logo placed above the display. The home button has a rectangular shape, and is said to double up as a fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint sensor would be available on the Moto E4 Plus as well. At the back, we can see two antenna bands running on top and bottom, as well as the large circular rear camera module with the Motorola logo placed below it.

The Moto E4 is said to be priced around €150 which is Rs 10,500 approximately. While the Moto E4 Plus will be priced around €190 which comes to Rs 13,300 approximately. This pricing is however restricted to the European market.

According to this report, the Moto E4 will feature a 5-inch HD (720p) LCD display, a MediaTek MT6737M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card. In the photography department, the Moto E4 is said to sport an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. 

At par with the FCC listing, the Moto E4 will be backed by a 2,800mAh battery. Connectivity options available on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS and NFC. On the software front, the Moto E4 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone will be available in three colors of gray, gold and blue.

The bigger variant of the two, the Moto E4 Plus will feature a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. Most of the specifications remain the same except for three major upgrades. To start with, the rear camera on the Moto E4 Plus will carry 13-megapixel sensors while the selfie camera remains the same. In line with past rumors, the Moto E4 Plus will be backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery. This factor will surely keep it above other entry-level smartphones in the market. The memory differs as well as the Moto E4 Plus will also come with 3GB of RAM. The Moto E4 Plus will be available in two colors of gray and gold.

Moto E4 Plus with 5,000mAh battery, MediaTek chipset leaked: Specifications and features

After Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto E3 Power last year, looks like the company is pulling up its socks to release its successor now. Just last week, we came across a bunch of leaks around the Moto E4, which gave away some crucial details of the purported smartphone. And now, a Motorola device with the model number XT1773, has been spotted passing the Federal Communications Commission. This device is speculated to be the larger variant of the Moto E4, and will be dubbed as Moto E4 Plus.

According to the certification listing, the purported Moto E4 Plus will be packed with a whopping 5,000mAh battery, which would also make it the largest ever a Motorola smartphone has featured. The FCC filing also shows the smartphone with connectivity features like 4G LTE, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11-n support, Bluetooth Low Energy (v4.2), and NFC. And, under the hood, the Moto E4 Plus will be powered by a MediaTek chipset.

Further, like we mentioned, a Moto E4 has also been spotted under works. Last week, a smartphone with model number XT1762 was certified by FCC, and is believed to be the Moto E4. According to that listing, the Moto E4 would run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. As compared to the Moto E4 Plus’ speculated 5,000mAh battery, this listing showed the Moto E4 with a 2,800mAh battery. Similar to the former, for connectivity, the Moto E4 would feature options such as dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi to name a few. The listing also revealed a 16GB built-in storage on the smartphone. However, it is interesting to note, that previous rumors have suggested that the Moto E4 could feature a big 4,000mAh battery. Previous rumors have also suggested that there will be multiple variants launched, including one featuring 32GB onboard storage.

Moto E4 specs, features spotted online, to come with Android Nougat, rumored to launch soon

Back in July last year, Lenovo-backed Motorola launched the Moto E3, which was eventually brought to India as Moto E3 Power with a price tag of Rs 7,999. Now, it seems Motorola is gearing up to launch the successor, dubbed Moto E4. The smartphone has been recently certified by FCC, and it was spotted with the model number XT1762. The FCC listing also reveals some key specifications and features of the upcoming smartphone.

Motorola Moto E3 Power goes on next sale today at 11:59PM via Flipkart

Lenovo-backed Motorola last week launched the Moto E3 Power smartphone in India. The smartphone, priced at Rs 7,999, went on sale via its exclusive partner Flipkart and set a milestone of selling 100,000 units of the smartphone within the first day of the launch, and went out of stock. The smartphone is now going on sale tonight at 11.59PM via Flipkart. The company has not yet revealed the total number of units it will put on sale for this sale.

Flipkart is also offering the smartphone on EMI starting from as low as Rs 388. The Moto E3 Power also comes with Reliance Jio Welcome Offer that comes with limited benefits. The company offers unlimited HD voice and video calls; however there are reports that users have been reporting call failure. You also get unlimited SMS, which is restricted to 100 per day. Do remember, there is a limit of 4GB per day, after which speeds will be throttled to 128Kbps. The Welcome Offer is valid till December 31.

Moto E3 Power specifications and features

The Moto E3 Power flaunts a 5-inch IPS HD (1280×720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1GHz MT6735p quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB onboard memory, which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.

In the photography department, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and features likes burst mode, HDR, Panorama and tap-to-focus. There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video-calling with beautification mode. The smartphone is packed with a 3,500mAh battery, which the company says is good enough to run all day. Moto has also bundled in a fast charger that can give five hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging. 

On the connectivity front, the smartphone include 4G VoLTE support, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and dual-SIM card slots. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 out-of-the-box.

The Moto E3 Power also comes with a splash-proof body, which essentially involves a nano coating on the outside as well as inside. This makes the smartphone water repellant, which means it can survive and accidental splash of water or light rains. The company asserts that the Moto E3 Power is not waterproof.
