As promised, Motorola has launched its first-ever battery-centric smartphone, Moto E4 Plus, today in India. Priced at Rs 9,999, the smartphone is Flipkart-exclusive, and will be available starting tonight at 11:59PM. Buyers will be able to choose from color options like iron gray, and fine gold. There will be a limited edition oxford blue color, which is expected to be available in India sometime later this year.
Buyers will be able to avail a bunch of launch-day offers on the Moto E4 Plus. These include, discounts on the moto pulse 2 headphones that will be available for Rs 649, and free two months of Hotstar Premium subscription. Lastly, the Moto E4 Plus is a part of Flipkart’s Buyback Guarantee offer, and there is also an exchange offer on the phone of up to Rs 9,000.
The key feature of the Moto E4 Plus is its 5,000mAh battery, which is supported with 10W rapid charger. The company says that the battery is good enough to last up to two days on a single charge. The battery is supported with Motorola’s rapid charging technology. Although it is the first smartphone from the Lenovo-backed company to boast a massive battery, recently, nubia N2 also made it to the Indian market with an equal battery capacity. In comparison to the Moto E4 Plus, the Nubia N2 is priced at Rs 15,999.

Moto E4 Plus features a unibody design in metal finish. The overall design language is quite identical to the Moto G5 series. There is a circular camera module in the center of the back panel. It has a home button on the front, which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. Unlike other smartphones which are IP rated, the Moto E4 Plus has nano-coating for dust and water resistance. The nano-coating does not mean the device can be submerged into water or other liquids. Instead it can survive an accidental splash of water.
