Motorola has started sending out press invites for a launch event scheduled on July 25 in New York. The invite does not give any hints as to what will be announced, though one or more Moto smartphones are most likely expected from recent leaks. The invite is a catchy one, and comes with a colorful tunnel, lit up in varied shades. The opening text mentions ‘you won’t want to miss this’, and later comes the hashtag #hellomotoworld with the event details. The launch is most likely to be a global one, considering the hashtag mentions ‘moto world’ instead of just the standard #hellomoto tag.
In its launch invite, shared by The Verge, the company has used the hashtag '#hellomotoworld' and used the tagline "you won't want to miss this." The invite has the mention of 'Motorola' as well but as mentioned before, there is no specific indication about any smartphone unveiling.

There have been constant leaks surrounding Moto devices in the past days, with most of the details hinting at the Moto X4, Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force smartphones. All three devices have seen multiple leaks, and there are hardly any secrets as to the devices’ specifications. The smartphones feature top-of-the-line specifications, and while Motorola might not unveil all three in one go, one of the three is most likely to debut at the event scheduled on July 26. The Moto X4 and Moto Z2 Force are both expected to feature a dual rear camera setup, whereas Moto Z2 will come with Moto Mods, just like the previous edition.

Surprisingly, new Moto Mods expected to feature in the Moto Z2 Force were unveiled at an event in Ghana. The Moto Mods debuted at the event are different from the Mods already present in the Moto lineup. They add a 360-degree camera Mod, DSLR Mod, two Marshall audio Mods and a DirecTV Mod (for HDMI output). The mods have not been unveiled or announced in any other market so far, and the July launch could also see the Mods being unveiled globally along with the Moto Z2 Force smartphone. The new mods will supplement the already present Mods in the Moto series.
Moto X4 specifications, features
Taking a look at the leaked specifications for the upcoming smartphones, the Moto X4 is currently the most exciting of the lot. With flagship-like specifications, the smartphone will be a premium offering. Motorola Moto X4 was initially expected to be unveiled earlier in June, but the launch was delayed. Reports suggesting the launch to be pushed back as late as October recently emerged. The smartphone will come with IP68 certification making it water and dust resistant. The smartphone will also feature a horizontal dual rear camera setup with the lenses and the flash encased in a circular protrusion on the back panel.
The rear camera sensors will come with 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel resolution, while the front selfie camera will be a 16-megapixel snapper. The image also hints at a curved display. Originally leaked by tipster Evan Blass, the Moto X4 also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is most likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, accompanied by 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM. Moto X4 will sport a 5.2-inch HD (1080p) display and a 3,000mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner rests under the home button below the display.
