Samsung Galaxy On Max could launch in India tomorrow, exclusively via Flipkart

Samsung has recently shared the teaser for a new upcoming smartphone in India. The South Korean brand has been constantly sharing teasers for the upcoming device, dropping small hints as to what the smartphone might be. As most of the leaked Samsung phones have already been launched, there is a lot of excitement and confusion surrounding this new unknown smartphone. Samsung has released teasers for the smartphone on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even has a contest around the device. The only idea the leaks give so far is that the phone will be a part of the Samsung Galaxy On series.

While many on Twitter and other social media sites are speculating the device to be the newly announced Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, Samsung teasers clearly hint at a new phone.  The teaser image for the smartphone shows a device with slim bezels on the sides and normal bezels on the top and the bottom. The physical home button is present on the smartphone. Additionally, the one unique feature of the phone that stands out is the glowing ‘Max’ on the display. Tentatively titled the Samsung Galaxy On Max, the smartphone is expected to be a part of the mid-range segment considering it is a part of the Galaxy On series.

Samsung Galaxy On Max will be a Flipkart exclusive in India, and the e-commerce site already has a banner for the upcoming device. The e-commerce giant hints that the phone will be a ‘flagship device’, most likely to be the flagship of the Samsung Galaxy On series. The smartphone will be a camera-centric device, and will focus more on low-light photography. Additionally, as Samsung teasers suggest, the Samsung Galaxy On Max might come with a similar camera resolution for the front and the rear camera. The phone also has a new ‘social camera mode’, which was introduced recently with the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max smartphones.

The device is expected to run on Android Nougat 7.0 OS coupled with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. The phone will be unveiled on Flipkart, and on social media pages tomorrow. There’s no word on the pricing of the smartphone though considering the phone is a part of the Galaxy On series, it is expected to be priced in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment. There are also rumors of the new smartphone being another variant of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max unveiled recently. If true, then Samsung Galaxy On Max specifications could mirror the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, except for the camera.
