Samsung Galaxy Note 8 press images surface online showing off dual-camera

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaks are coming up thick and fast, and most of the leaks simply seem to be aping each other. In the past, there have been leaks from tipsters, ‘factory sources’, and many more. And while in the earlier days there was some confusion as to the design and the camera placement, most of the recent leaks hint at the same rear dual-camera placement with the fingerprint scanner next to the flash. The most recent leak not just confirms the placement, but takes us closer to the camera, giving a detailed look at the new feature of the Galaxy Note 8.

The leak, shared by a Facebook user allegedly comes from a factory. The images are shared from Vietnam where the user does say that the final design corresponds to previous leaks. Additionally, the user also hints that not everyone will be satisfied with the fingerprint sensor placement. The images show the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in what look to be press images. The front of the device is bare and features no side bezels. The Galaxy Note 8 features the same Infinity Display Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. The top and the bottom bezel are slimmer, and there is no physical button below the display.

The dual rear camera setup on the phone is not as protruding as seen in some previous leaks. The dual rear camera lens are side-by-side with the LED flash and the heart-rate sensor on the right of the lens. The entire camera setup is covered with a glass/plastic sheet. The fingerprint scanner rests further away, towards the right bezel. While this time Samsung has definitely left slightly more space between the camera lens and the fingerprint scanner, fans are now upset regarding the flash and the lens placement and have taken to Reddit threads to complain about the same.

The complaint is regarding the same piece of glass covering both, the lens and the flash. Many photography enthusiasts claim that the placement will affect the output. Some are also suggesting that the photo is fake as it is a basic mistake Samsung would avoid with the Galaxy Note 8. The camera glass damage is also a major concern for users. However, as Samsung Galaxy Note 8 actual launch is still some days away, it might be wise to wait instead of getting excited over the leak. Samsung design could vary from the leaks, once the device is actually announced.

Other leaks have also shown the protective silicone case for the upcoming smartphone. The leaks show a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature which continues to be a part of Samsung smartphones despite most manufacturers doing away with it. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also expected to come with a heart-rate sensor on the rear panel, and an improved iris scanner. The smartphone is quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and will also come with an advanced S Pen. The official announcement is expected in late August.
