The Google Pixel 2 XL has surfaced yet again in a new render video which imagines a refreshed design and schematics of the upcoming smartphone. The purported Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be the successor to previously launched ‘Made by Google’ premium smartphones Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Until now in rumors only, the upcoming Google Pixel 2 smartphones were confirmed to be in works by the company itself.
According to ConceptCreator‘ latest Google Pixel 2 XL video, as the name suggests the smartphone will be a bigger variant of the Google Pixel 2. While an another video surfaced earlier hinted at a mono-tone rear panel, the new design hints at the legacy duo-tone panel to continue on the new successors as well. However, the rear panel is quite distinct from previous Google Pixel smartphones. To detail, Google Pixel 2 XL has the primary camera along with the LED flash placed at the top-right end and the fingerprint scanner stays in the center of the rear panel.

On the front, the smartphone has a significantly large display with curved glass on top and thin bezels on the edges. The speakers have been moved to the front panel as well from the bottom grill. The top chain includes front camera, sensors, and speaker which is likely to double up as earpiece as well. We couldn’t resist noticing but the new Pixel XL 2 in the video looks appears as an elongated iPhone 5 with curved edges. The smartphone can come in three color variants- Red, Blue, and Grey.
Earlier this year, during an event Google Hardware Head, Rich Osterloh told Android Pit: “You can count on us to follow [the Pixel series]. You can count on a successor this year, even if you don’t hear a date from me now.” As per reports, Google Pixel Xl 2 is codenamed Taimen and traces of new Pixel smartphones have been found in the file system of HTC U 11 smartphone. Moreover, reports also confirm that HTC continues to remain on board with Google to manufacture successor to Pixel smartphones as well.
