Samsung
has been long rumored to be working on a Galaxy O series of smartphones. While
the company has remained mum, it accidentally revealed details about the
forthcoming Galaxy On5 and On7. The smartphones were briefly spotted on the
Samsung India website, before the page was taken down.
Samsung galaxy on5 spotted Samsung
describes the Galaxy On5 as an entry-level smartphone with an ‘unprecedentedly thin frame and bezel’. The company also says that its ‘eye-catching, leather-feel rear cover adds an extra touch of class’. Some of the pictures on the website also show a metallic frame
wrapping the handset.

The smartphone features a 5-inch HD
(1280×720 pixels) TFT display and
is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (mostly an Exynos chipset) paired
with 1.5GB of RAM.
Also on
offer is 8GB internal storage, of which around 4.3GB is usable. You can however
expand the storage up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone also
features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel selfie camera,
and a 2,600mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to 15
hours of talktime.
Connectivity
options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth
4.1 and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Samsung Galaxy On7 :
Samsung
is also believed to be launching a better variant of the smartphone called the
Galaxy On7. This is said to feature a 5.5-inch 720p display, a 13-megapixel
rear camera, and a slightly bigger 3,000mAh battery.
