Huawei Mate 8 with 6-inch display, 4,000mAh battery; Specification & Feature



Huawei today launched the Mate 8, which the company proudly says is its most advanced flagship smartphone. Theres no word on the pricing, but the company says the Mate 8 is going on sale in China, and the global variant will be unveiled at CES 2016.

The Mate 8 is a new premium offering by Huawei, this phablet is actually made out of metal, and it actually sports a metal unibody design. To be more specific, the Mate 8 is made out of aerospace-grade aluminum and unique 2.5D curved diamond cut glass according to the company. As you can see in the images down below, the bezel on the sides is absolutely minimal, its almost non-existent, which definitely helps the handset look even sleeker (83% screen-to-body ratio).




Specification :

The smartphone flaunts a 6-inch full HD IPS display with 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and is powered by Huaweis Kirin 950 octa-core (2.3GHz Cortex-A72 quad-core + 1.8GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core) chipset.

The smartphone also features an i5 co-processor that the company says supports speech recognition, low-power consumption MP3, all the functions of a sensor hub, fused location provider (FLP) navigation, and reduces location-based power consumption, and Mali-T880 GPU.

Also on offer are 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage options, microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 128GB, and 3GB and 4GB of RAM. On the photography front, it features a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

It also features a 4,000mAh battery that the company says is good enough for up to 18 hours of talk time and 22 days on standby mode, and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 4.2. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under EMUI 4.0.
