After
Chinese investors bought Vertu back in 2015, it was hopeful that their next
product would be promising, however the product was anything but that. The
Vertu and Bentley collaboration has resulted in a rather standard device, even
though it's a rehash of the original Vertu Signature Touch smartphone from
2014, we were hoping that it would at least offer features that most premium
smartphone have in the current market.
Vertu
Signature Touch features a 5.2-inch Full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display with
pixel density of 428 ppi and 5th Generation solid sapphire crystal screen. It
is powered by 64bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 4GB
of RAM and Adreno 430 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop)
operating system.
It comes
with 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB via a
microSD card. Vertu Signature Touch flaunts a 21-megapixel rear camera with
phase detect autofocus and twin dual tone LED flash, and a 2.1-megapixel wide
aperture front camera. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K resolution
videos.
The
smartphone is packed with a 3160 mAh Li-ion battery which claims to offer up-to
21 hous of talk-time and up-to 520 hours of standby time. The battery backed by
Qualcomm Quick Charge2.0 feature and Qi Compatible Wireless Charging.
On the connectivity front, Vertu Signature Touch
offers 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac,GPS/AGPS, Micro-USB and USB On-The-Go support.
The
device is covered with two-tone Beluga, Hotspur Bentley leather and is woven
together with Hotspur stitching. Vertu Signature Touch owners will also be
given the option to choose between eight leather colours and 16 stitching
options. The collaboration also adds that the new device will features
Bentley's 3D logo, knurled side keys, a unique pillow rail and a sound bar.
