It’s been
widely reported that Samsung is working on a new ‘C’ series
of smartphones, with the first two launches expected to be the Galaxy C5 and
the Galaxy C7. We have already come across a few details about the Galaxy C5
before courtesy of a benchmarking website, and now it’s the
Galaxy C7′s turn. The upcoming smartphone too has been spotted on GFXBench
website.
As per
earlier leaks, Samsung’s new Galaxy C-series too will boast a combination of metal and
glass body. But the design and integration of the two materials is said to be
much better than Samsung’s Galaxy A series. It is expected to be placed between the
mid-range Galaxy A series and the budget Galaxy J series.
Samsung
Galaxy C7 specifications and features:
According to the benchmark list, the Galaxy
C7 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s
Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature
32GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel
selfie camera, and it will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.
The
smartphone was recently spotted on Zauba, India’s import-export website,
with a price tag of Rs 13,635, GSMArena reports. While the retail price is
bound to be different, the price range falls in line with earlier reports. In
India, Samsung recently launched the Galaxy J3 (2016) for Rs 8,990, while the
Galaxy A5 (2016) was launched earlier this year for Rs 29,400.
If
Samsung manages to keep the price tag around the Rs 15,000 mark, the Samsung
Galaxy C7 will give tough competition to smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note
3, Lenovo K4 Note and the Yu Yureka Plus to name a few. We will however reserve
our comparison till Samsung launches the smartphone.
