HP has launched the Spectre 13 in India, a laptop that's claimed to be the thinnest in the world by the US-based firm. With a thickness of 10.4mm, it's thinner than both the 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Air. It has been priced starting at Rs. 1,19,990 in India, and will go on sale from Saturday.
HP Spectre laptop – weighing 1.1 kg and as thin as an AAA-battery at just 10.4 mm at its thickest point, which makes it slimmer than than the 12-inch MacBook (0.52 inches) and MacBook Air (0.68 inches). Some days ago launched Asus ZenBook 3, which is thinner and lighter than Apple’s MacBook (13.2mm and 920 grams).
It also bears a full-sized island-style backlit keyboard, with dual HP speakers powered by Bang & Olufsen audio on either side.
Under the hood, it houses Intel Core i5-6200U/ Intel Core i7-6500U processor, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 520, TrueVision HD Webcam, Bang & Olufsen audio with quad speakers and also boasts segmented 38 W/h Li-ion polymer battery, which can keep the laptop running for more than nine hours.
HP hasn't compromised on the specifications either as the 64-bit Windows 10 laptop will come with a choice of Intel's 6th generation Core i5 or Core i7 processors with Intel HD Graphics, SSD storage up to 512GB, and 8GB of LPDDR3-1866MHz RAM as standard.
