HP to launch world’s thinnest laptop Spectre in India by June end

HP is all set to launch the world's thinnest laptop, the HP Spectre, in India. According to industry insiders, the Spectre is expected to hit the Indian market by the third week of June. The laptop is priced at $1,170 (approximately Rs 78,647) internationally.

HP Spectre laptop – weighing 1.1 kg and as thin as an AAA-battery at just 10.4 mm at its thickest point, which makes it slimmer than than the 12-inch MacBook (0.52 inches) and MacBook Air (0.68 inches). Some days ago launched Asus ZenBook 3, which is thinner and lighter than Apple’s MacBook (13.2mm and 920 grams).


It has an innovative hybrid battery split into two thinner pieces that delivers the same charge as a single battery for up to nine and half hours of battery life. The notebook packs in superb entertainment experience with full HD 13.3″ diagonal edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a lightning fast PCIe solid-state drive (SSD) with storage up to 512GB with up to 8GB of memory.


“HP Spectre is the thinnest notebook in the world and unlike the majority of other super thin PCs on the market, this laptop doesn’t compromise power or features,” said Anneliese Olson, vice president of personal systems business, HP Asia Pacific and Japan.


The integration of Intel hyperbaric cooling system keeps the machine running cool even with powerful processors. It has three full function USB Type-C connectors, including two of which support ThunderboltTM, to provide a fast, versatile I/O connection.
