Micromax
is reportedly planning to launch a new Canvas series smartphone on Monday, i.e.
May 16. As per the report, the upcoming smartphone will priced under Rs 9,000.
Although
details about this new smartphone from Micromax are scarce as of the moment,
sources have told us that it would likely come with a 5.5-inch screen and an
octa-core processor inside. This phone would further have 3GB of RAM.
The
Canvas 6 Pro is notably the company's first phone with 4GB RAM. It comes with a
5.5-inch full-HD display and a MediaTek Helio X10 processor under the hood. The
phone comes with 16GB of internal memory which is further expandable via
microSD card.
It sports
a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with phase detection auto-focus along with a
5-megapixel camera on the front. The 4G LTE phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and
includes Micromax's new Around feature.
Earlier
this week, Micromax had launched Canvas XP 4G smartphone in India for Rs 7,499.
It has a 5-inch HD (1280×720p) display and is powered by a 1GHz quad core processor, which
is clubbed with 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs
on Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system. It sports an 8-megapixel shooter with
LED flash light and a 2-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The Canvas XP 4G
gets the strength from 2000 mAh battery and supports 10 Regional Languages.
In
another news, Micromax's sub-brand Yu will launch a new phone called Yunicorn
on May 19.
