Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge buyers in India offered Gear VR for Rs. 990

If you're a virtual reality enthusiast in India, and are planning to purchase one of Samsung's newest flagship smartphones, here's a deal for you: the company is offering heavy discount on its Gear VR headset to those who purchase the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge this month.

The deal brings down the price of the headset to just Rs. 990. This compares to the Rs. 8,200 price tag the headset carries on Flipkart. At the time of publishing this report, the Gear VR is listed as ‘out of stock’ on the e-commerce site.

The offer is available on purchases made within May 1 and May 31, with device activation by May 31 for offline purchases and June 7 for online purchases. Samsung is giving a unique coupon code to the customers that will enable them to buy the Gear VR at the discounted price. These coupons are available through Samsung’s e-store in India.

The latest deal on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones comes shortly after its Make for India sale wherein it is offering big discounts just Re. 1. The sale includes cashbacks as well as easy installment schemes. Samsung’s ‘Make for India Celebration’ sale will run till May 15.
