Tech
freaks have been talking about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone for quite
some time now. According to the NPU reports, the new smartphone from the American
software company may house the most impressive specs and features once it arrives
in the market. Rumor has it that the device will run on Snapdragon 830 chipset
from Qualcomm. Microsoft Surface phone could be release in April 2017 with Redstone 2, the second major upgrade to Windows 10 for PC and Mobile. Fans are definitely excited to know more about the device before its official release.
Two areas of Focus:
- Make the most secure phone in the world
- Make the best phone in productivity
If rumors
prove to be true, Microsoft Surface Phone will also have 8 GB RAM, which would
be pretty amazing since none of its class today sports the same specification.
However, this has yet to be confirmed by the company itself.
Meanwhile,
previous reports suggest that the next Microsoft smartphone will be powered by
the current Snapdragon 820 processor and will come in three variants. The first
variant will have 4 GB of RAM, along with 32 GB of internal storage capacity.
Second Variant will have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB onboard storage capacity. The
specs under the hood of the third variant will be headed by Snapdragon 830
processor and 8 GB of RAM, along with its whopping 512 GB of internal storage
space. If the device will indeed come out with these specifications, it will
even be better than most of the laptops available in the market today.
Meanwhile,
Windows chief Terry Myerson currently discussed with The Verge regarding the
company's plan and main focus this year. According to the report, Microsoft's
concentration this year is not on its smartphone development; however, Myerson
also hinted that future plans might include another Windows phone.
"We're
going to do some cool things with phones, but this year phones are an important
part of our family but not the tip of the spear," the Windows chief said.
