Coolpad launched a new smartphone today called the Coolpad Mega at an Event here in India. As far as pricing is concerned, the device is priced at 7,499 INR and will be available to purchase exclusively from Amazon India starting 24th August and registrations to start at 5PM today and gold, grey and champagne white colour options.
Coolpad Mega specifications and features
The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280×720pixels) display with pixel density of 294ppi and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Running on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with a layer of Coolpad’s Cool UI 8.0 on top, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT67355P 64-bit quad-core chipset clocked at 1GHz. It is paired with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. With 16GB internal storage, the smartphone also features a microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB is also present. It also includes support for USB OTG (on-the-go).
Besides the 8-megapixel selfie camera, the Coolpad Mega 2.5D also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera of f/2.0 aperture with LED flash. The 8-megapixel selfie camera also features a smart beautification mode for selfies and field of view of 83.6 degrees for group selfies.
On the connectivity front, the Coolpad Mega 2.5D features dual SIM 4G LTE with support for VoLTE voice calling, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. It is fuelled by a 2,500mAh battery, which Coolpad claims to offer talktime of up to 9 hours.
