LeEco and Coolpad launch Cool 1 Dual with 13-megapixel dual cameras, 4,060mAh battery: Price, Specifications and features


Recently, it was reported that both LeEco  and Coolpad are working together on a new smartphone. And now, both companies have announced the result of their joint effort - Cool 1 dual. LeEco recently acquired a 28.9 percent stake in Coolpad. The handset comes in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold colour options and will be up for pre-order online on Coolpad's website, LeMall.com and Jd.com starting August 24 in China. 

The 3GB variant is priced at 1,099 Yuan (Rs 11,000 approximately), the 4GB plus 32GB variant at 1,499 Yuan (Rs 15,000 approximately) and the 4GB plus 64GB variant at 1,699 Yuan (Rs 17,000) approximately.

The Cool 1 Dual features a 5.5-inch (1920x1080pixels) full HD IPS display. Under the hood runs a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Adreno 510 GPU.

The smartphone is available in three variants, one with 3GB of RAM with 32GB onboard storage, 4GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage.

In the photography department, the Cool 1 Dual is the dual camera set up on the back. The smartphone sports two 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. Similar to the Huawei P9, one of the rear cameras is for capturing monochrome while the other one is for color. The dual camera set up is supposed to deliver better image quality. On the selfie front, the Cool 1 sports an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.

The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco’s EUI 5.6 and is powered by 4,060mAh battery equipped with fast charging and also reverse charging. 

Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support which is both nano SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C support, fingerprint sensor back, which is below the rear camera lens. The smartphone’s fingerprint sensor is said to have a reaction time of just 0.15 seconds and can also capture images. 

Last week, Coolpad launched its first selfie-focused smartphone - Mega 2.5D, in India. Priced at Rs 6,999, the smartphone will be available on Amazon starting August 24.
