Asus is expanding its Zenfone series and how. Now, adding yet another smartphone to their confusing lineup, Asus has launched the ZenFone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) smartphone. Priced at Rs 8,499, the smartphone will go on sale in India today via Amazon India. It will be offered in two color options – charcoal black, and sheer gold.
Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 is a slight upgrade version of the Zenfone 5.0 device, which was launched in April last year for Rs 7,999. The company has beefed up the specs of the latest smartphone in terms of camera, battery and of course the screen size.

In terms of specifications, the Asus Zenfone Go 5.5, as the name suggests, flaunts a large 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The company has added a Bluelight Filter which Asus claims can keep user’s eyes safe from harmful radiations during prolonged usage. At the heart, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the ZenFone Go 5.5 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED real tone flash. Up front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Additionally, Asus has also included the PixelMaster 3.0 app with multiple modes like Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Manual Mode, Real Time Beautification Mode, and Night Mode to name a few.
Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery which the company says will last for an entire day on a single charge. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n; WiFi-Direct, Bluetooth V 4.0, GPS, and FM Radio. On the software front, the Zenfone Go 5.5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, with ZenUI 3.0 on top.
