As augmented reality and virtual reality are set to grow big this year, we see hardware leveraging the technology. The latest to do so is Asus’ Zenfone Live smartphone, which boasts a real-time beautification mode as one of its prime features. After its international debut in February, the Asus Zenfone Live has today been launched in India. The smartphone with some AR-based features as its USP is priced at Rs 9,999 and available in color choices of Shimmer Gold, Rose Pink and Navy Black.
Talking about its USP, the Asus Zenfone Live features a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, auto-focus, and LED flash. Asus is calling it the world’s first smartphone to boast a real-time beautification technology along with BeautyLive mode which supports live-streaming for Facebook or YouTube. It basically extends the live filters already seen through apps like Snapchat and Facebook, along with a face beautification mode to live videos. Apart from that the smartphone also comes with built-in MEMS microphones that automatically detect and eliminate background noise. For selfie lovers, there is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4μm pixels, and soft light LED flash for brighter portraits.
