Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition launched in India, priced at Rs 14,499; Specifications, features


The new smartphone is essentially a better version of the Moto G (3rd Gen), and was first launched in Mexico last month. Motorolas new Moto G Turbo is a Flipkart exclusive with the sale starting on Thursday noon. Motorola is offering 100 per cent cashback for 100 customers till December 13, up to Rs 6,000 off for exchange on old smartphone and double data free for Airtel customers.

Moto G Turbo Edition specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset housed inside the Moto G Turbo has a 1.5GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 405 graphics which is paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with an IP67 certification making it water and dust resistant. It has 16GB of onboard storage and you can expand the storage to up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The phone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and just like its siblings, it is very close to stock Android albiet with certain Moto features such as Moto Voice, Moto Assist and so on. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

The Moto G Turbo houses a 2470mAh battery and it comes with the TurboPower wall charger which can quickly charge your smartphone. Motorola claims that it can give 6 hours of talk time with 15 mins of charging.

On the connectivity front, you have a dual SIM configuration which can take in a 4G LTE SIM card as well. Apart from this there is Wi-fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS and GLONASS. Sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor are present.
