Lenovo K8 Note with dual-cameras, 4,000mAh battery, stock Android Nougat launched in India: Price, Specs and features


Lenovo today launched the K8 Note in India, which is essentially the successor to the K6 Note. The K8 Note was launched for Rs 12,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant, while the 4GB/64GB variant will cost Rs 13,999. The smartphone will go on sale on August 18 at 12PM IST, exclusively on Amazon India. On the day, buyers will also be able to avail a bunch of launch day offers.

Lenovo is offering the Moto Sports headphones for Rs 6,99 instead of Rs 1,599. Apart from that, Idea Cellular users will get 64GB 4G data and unlimited calling for 56 days at Rs 343. Lenovo is also offering discounts up to 80 percent on Kindle e-books.

The Lenovo K8 Note’s USP is the dual-camera setup at the back, which includes a 13-megapixel sensor to capture photos, and a 5-megapixel sensor to capture depth information. Apart from that, Lenovo has opted for stock Android Nougat OS, instead of Vibe UI. The smartphone also supports Dolby ATMOS and TheatreMAX technology. There is also a dedicated Music Key on the right edge, which can be used to control music playback. It can also be used to turn on the flashlight, take a screenshot or open any third-party application upon a long press.

Lenovo K8 Note specifications, features

The Lenovo K8 Note features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS panel with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Under the hood runs a MediaTek Helio X23 deca-core chipset. Built on 20mn process, the chipset features four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz, four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and two high-power Cortex A72 cores clocked at 2.3GHz.

The 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB onboard storage, whereas the 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB onboard storage. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable storage, along with separate dual-SIM card slots. Besides the dual-cameras at the back, the Lenovo K8 Note also comes with a 13-megapixel front camera with an LED flash.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS. To keep things ticking, the K8 Note houses a 4,000mAh battery with rapid charging technology using a 15W charger. The smartphone also includes a fingerprint sensor at the back for biometric authentication. It also comes with a water repellent nano coating to safeguard your smartphone from accidental water splashes.
