The Nokia 6 is set to go on sale on August 23 exclusively via Amazon India for which registrations began on July 14. It is now reported that Amazon has received over 1 million registrations on the Nokia 6. With two more weeks left for the sale to take place, registrations for the smartphone are expected to go higher. It isn’t known how many units would be available for the first sale of the Nokia 6. The smartphone is priced at Rs 14,999, and comes in three color options of Matte Black, Blue, Silver, and Copper.
HMD Global had launched the Nokia 3310 feature phone in India, along with the Nokia 3,5 and 6 smartphones. The Nokia 3 and 5 are offline exclusive smartphones, while the Nokia 6 will be available exclusively on Amazon India. The first sale for the Nokia 6 also comes with a few offers. Amazon Prime members will be entitled to cash back of Rs 1,000 which will be added to their Amazon Pay balance. All Nokia 6 buyers will also get a discount of up to 80 percent on e-books for Kindle. Vodafone will also offer 45GB of 4G data with validity of five months to Nokia 6 users. Lastly, Nokia 6 buyers can avail Rs 1,800 discount on hotels and Rs 700 on flight tickets booked via Make My Trip.

Nokia 6 specifications
The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D glass, and Gorilla Glass on top for protection. Under the hood of the smartphone, runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with onboard storage of 32GB which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. For photography, the Nokia 6 houses a 16-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel up front.
Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box. The Nokia 6 comes with connectivity options like dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB type C-port. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor which is embedded on the Home button.
