After launching the ZenFone 4 series in India, Asus has now unveiled the ZenFone V in the US. The device that has model number V520KL is listed on the official website. The ZenFone V smartphone will be available in the US via Verizon. There is no word on the availability or the price of the smartphone just yet.
The new smartphone follows in line with the design and aesthetics of the ZenFone 4 series. The unibody designed smartphone has thick bezels above and below the display. While there are minimal bezels on the sides of the display. The bottom chin house the home button with a fingerprint scanner embedded into it along with capacitative navigation buttons. The upper region of the phone has the front camera, earpiece, and other sensors. On the back, rear camera can be seen with LED flash and the Asus logo positioned at the center followed by Verizon branding at the very bottom.

The ZenFone V has a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display further has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on the top for protection. The smartphone is also supported by company’s Tru2life technology for better contrast ratios and readability. The ZenFone V is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with Adreno 530 GPU. The device has a 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the smartphone comes with equipped with a 23-megapixel camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, Auto-Focus, OIS and dual-LED flash. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper with a f/2.0 aperture. It houses a 3000mAh battery and runs Android 7.1 Nougat with ASUS ZenUI 3.0 custom OS on top. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, AGPS, Micro-USB and 3.5mm audio jack. The ZenFone V comes in Sapphire Black color option.
