Samsung Galaxy On8 with 5.5 inch Super AMOLED full HD display, S Bike mode launched in India, priced at Rs 15,900: Specifications, features

Just recently, we had reported about Flipkart teasing the launch of a new smartphone in the Samsung Galaxy On series. Today, Samsung has put all the rumors to rest by launching the Galaxy On8 in India, which as the name suggests, is the successor to the Galaxy On7 (2016). Samsung’s new smartphone is priced at Rs 15,990, and it will sold exclusively on Flipkart during the Big Billion sale which will begin on October 2 at 11.59PM. Samsung Galaxy On8 will be available in three colors — gold, black and white.

The biggest highlight of the new Galaxy On8 is its 5.5-inch full-HD Super Amoled display that was being teased ahead of its launch. The smartphone packs metal body and Samsung claims it features diamond cut metal frames.

The smartphone comes preloaded with two ‘Make in India’ initiatives UDS (ultra data saving) and S bike. The UDS initiative was introduced first in the Samsung Galaxy J2, and it is said to deliver up to 50 percent data saving, and also frees up RAM by 11 percent. The S bike mode was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy J3(2016) smartphone, earlier this year.
