Motorola sends invites for June 21 event; Moto Z2 Force, Moto X4, Moto E4 Plus launch expected

Motorola is on a launch spree this month, and it has sent out media invites for a June 21 event in Brazil. The invitation seen online details nothing other than the event date along with a lady posing for the Motorola device. It isn’t clear which device Motorola will be announcing for the Brazilian customers, but reports hint at the launch of Moto Z2 Force, Moto X4 or Moto E4 Plus.

The Lenovo-owned company recently launched the Moto Z2 Play in India. The second generation semi-modular smartphone is priced at Rs 27,999, and brings in a range of changes under the hood. As for the Brazil launch event, there could be any number of the recently leaked Moto smartphones, IBTimes reports. To recall, last week we came across, not one, but three Moto smartphones doing the rounds of the internet.

One of the recently leaked Moto smartphones is an unnamed device with a serial number XT1797, which received FCC certification. Listing of the smartphone throws light on some key features such as a 5.5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat running out-of-the-box.

Another smartphone, which could possibly be unveiled at the June 21 event in Brazil is the Moto Z2 Force. The second iteration of the smartphone with a shatterproof display, Moto Z2 Force is expected to feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display and house the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. USP of the smartphone is said to be its dual-camera setup. This upcoming smartphone is also likely to support gigabit LTE.

The long-rumored Moto X4 is also among the contenders for the Brazil launch. The smartphone is likely to feature 5.5-inch display and pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For photography, the Moto X4 is expected to pack a 13-megapixel rear camera. It is further likely to pack a 3,800mAh battery.

One of the most interesting devices expected to be unveiled at Moto’s Brazil event is likely to be the Moto E4 Plus smartphone – which is said to be the company’s first smartphone to pack a massive 5,000mAh battery. Other than being battery focused, the Moto E4 Plus is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display and feature a MediaTek MT6737 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It is further likely to include a 13-megapixel rear camera paired with 5-megapixel front camera. However, it is worth noting that some reports indicate that the launch of the Moto E4 Plus is not expected to be unveiled anytime soon.

Meanwhile, pricing of the Moto G5S Plus, Moto X4, Moto Z2 Force have also been leaked online. These upcoming Moto smartphones are likely to be priced between the affordable category and go up to the upper mid-range. Based on the leaks, the Moto Z2 Force will be priced at Rs 38,999 while the Moto G5S Plus and the Moto X4 will carry a price tag of Rs 17,999 and Rs 20,999 respectively.
