In an image posted by Android Authority, there is a OnePlus 5 with dual cameras lined up horizontally. The image, which is seemingly the render of the actual and final phone, also shows rounded edges that look different from the curves the OnePlus 3T has. The fresh image also shows that the OnePlus 5 will look different compared to the OnePlus 3T.
OnePlus 5 specifications, features
From what we know so far, the OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 2K resolution display. At the heart, the smartphone will most likely run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.35GHz and paired with Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone might launch with two variants- 6GB RAM plus 64GB storage and 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage.
The camera department is one aspect that is very sketchy. Leaks from the past suggest that the OnePlus 5 will come with a dual-camera setup, however, there are no sensor details available yet. Some rumors hint at a 23-megapixel or 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, but there are no details about the secondary sensor as yet. The battery bit is also not very clear as leaks suggest the smartphone might be fuelled with either a 3,600mAh battery or a 4,000mAh battery. It is also said to support company’s Dash Charge technology. On the software front, the OnePlus 5 is expected to run on Android 7.1.1Nougat out-of-the-box.
