We all know that after launching the flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones, Samsung is now prepping up to launch two more smartphones under its Note-series before the end of this year. While one smartphone is expected to be the Galaxy Note 8, the other is rumored to be refurbished version of the Galaxy Note 7. The latest rumors suggest that the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 aka Galaxy Note FE (Fandom Edition) or Galaxy Note 7R will launch on July 7.
The information comes via Korean publication ETNews, which claims that the Galaxy Note FE may launch as early as next month. Here, it is worth nothing that the leak suggests that the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will be called Galaxy Note FE and NOT Galaxy Note 7R. In terms of pricing, the Galaxy Note FE might set you back for around $620 (Rs 39,900 approx) in South Korea. The report suggest that the smartphone won’t be coming to the US, but the phablet will be arriving in other markets soon.

It is also rumored that the Galaxy Note FE will be available in colors like Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx. Apart from that, Samsung is said to boost up the productions for the smartphones from 150,000 to 450,000 and that is said to be one of the reasons the launch of the smartphone was delayed. Further, the rumor suggests that the Galaxy Note FE will also support Bixby, Samsung’s assistant on board to lure more customers. Bixby voice assistant, as of now, is only available on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ and is expected to launch in the Galaxy Note 8 as well.
Well, from what we know so far, the company is rumored to be using a smaller battery in the refurbished version. The phone will be powered by a 3,200mAh battery instead of the 3,500mAh unit on the Note 7.
In terms of other specifications, the Galaxy Note 7R or the Galaxy Note FE is said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat as compared to Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Galaxy Note 7. Rest of the specifications of the Galaxy Note FE is said to come with the same set of specifications as the Note 7. Just to put things into perspective, the Galaxy Note 7R would feature a 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED dual-edge curved display along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
However, since the Galaxy Note FE hasn’t been officially announced, it’s advised that this information be taken with a grain of salt.
