Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is now listed on Amazon France, could be official launch today

The Galaxy J5 (2017) is yet to be made official by Samsung, but the phone is already up for sale on a few e-commerce portals. The smartphone is officially listed on Amazon France as well, carrying a €279 price tag and a German e-commerce portal too has put the device up for pre-order. The tweet also said the phone could be unveiled on June 5, as that's the date you can see in the renders.  A part of the Samsung’s Galaxy J series, the smartphone is now expected to be announced in the coming days. The online listing has also all but confirmed the upcoming smartphone’s complete specifications and features.

The listing URLs included in the tweet are no longer active, so it's hard to say whether or not the South Korean company will officially announce the device today. But needless to say, we'll keep you updated as and when we hear more on the matter.

On the design front, there is nothing different in the phone except for the antenna bands. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) follows the same Samsung Galaxy J series design and comes with the home button embedded with the fingerprint sensor and flanked by the capacitive buttons. On the rear is the camera module with the flash and the logo. The one difference is in the design of the antenna on the back, which now curve upwards and downwards, instead of the traditional parallel bands.

The phone will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. While the device is listed in just black and gold colors on Amazon France, the German e-commerce portal Cyberport.de offers the phone in pink and blue in addition to black and gold. The colors could be region specific and there is no word on the options Indians will be able to choose from.
