The OnePlus 5 will be launched on June 20. Just two days after the China launch, the OnePlus 5 will make its way to India, with the launch date confirmed for June 22. OnePlus India, via its official Twitter handle has revealed that the OnePlus 5 will launch on June 22 at an event scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM in Mumbai. The OnePlus 5 has an exclusive available on Amazon India and Sale starting at 4:30PM on June 22. OnePlus will also be livestreaming the event which can be viewed by clicking on this link.

OnePlus 5 will have dual-camera setup, the company confirmed on Twitter. OnePlus updated its header photo and tweeted an image of the back of the phone, revealing its design.

The cameras are placed horizontally in the upper left corner with the LED flash next to them. The antenna band on top is following the curvature of the back panel. OnePlus 5 specifications, features

From what we know so far, the OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 2K resolution display. At the heart, the smartphone will most likely run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.35GHz and paired with Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone might launch with two variants- 6GB RAM plus 64GB storage and 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage.

The camera department is one aspect that is very sketchy. Leaks from the past suggest that the OnePlus 5 will come with a dual-camera setup, however, there are no sensor details available yet. Some rumors hint at a 23-megapixel or 16-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, but there are no details about the secondary sensor as yet. The battery bit is also not very clear as leaks suggest the smartphone might be fuelled with either a 3,600mAh battery or a 4,000mAh battery. It is also said to support company’s Dash Charge technology. On the software front, the OnePlus 5 is expected to run on Android 7.1.1Nougat out-of-the-box.
