Just last week Motorola released its 44th anniversary video, which according to reports showed the upcoming Moto X (2017). A closer look at the video has uncovered another smartphone. Dubbed Moto C, this budget device is seen face down so only the rear camera and the speaker grilles are visible. While the video only shows the white variant, a separate leak shows the device with multiple color options.
The Motorola video screen grab has been shared by leakster @Evleaks, who later confirmed the smartphone was indeed the Moto C. It is the same phone Motorola is expected to be working on for over three months now. A photo shared on Twitter by krispitech shows the Moto C in black, gold and red colors. From the images we can see the 3.5mm jack at the top, volume rocker and power button placed on the right, and the camera module with LED flash at the back. The batwing Motorola logo is placed below the camera.
Moto C specifications, features
From what we know so far, the Moto C is expected to come with a 5-inch HD (720p) display with a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC along with support for 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the phone is expected to carry a 16-megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is said to be armed with a 3,800mAh battery.
Lenovo-backed Motorola has its hands full at the moment. Apart from the Moto C, the company is also believed to be working on the Moto X(2017) and Moto E4. Both the smartphones have lately made their way to the rumor mills with quite a few of their details revealed.
