Moto C, Moto C Plus, Moto E4, Moto Z2 renders, specifications, features leaked

Motorola sure seems to have a lot on its plate right now. While it has already launched the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, rumor mills suggest there are more smartphones in the pipeline across different price segments. These rumored devices include the Moto E4, Moto X (2017), and Moto Z2. The Lenovo-backed company is also working on an affordable smartphone segment, and two devices set for launch are the Moto C and the Moto C Plus.

We already have a fair idea on what to expect from the upcoming Moto smartphones courtesy of various leaks. Now a set of leaked photos give us a glimpse at what these devices will look like. Let’s start off with the Moto C and Moto C Plus.

Moto C and Moto C Plus

While we already have come across leaked specifications, OnLeaks has put out some renders of what is said to be the new Moto C and Moto C Plus. Based on the renders, the Moto C is said to be thicker than the Plus variant. Another notable difference between the two smartphones is the camera bulge. Apart from this, both smartphones come with common design features like capacitive navigation-buttons, camera module with flash, power and volume buttons on the right hand side, a rear loud speaker, and a front-facing LED-flash. One thing worth mentioning is that fingerprint scanner is missing from both the smartphones.

As per leakster Evan Blass, both Moto C and Moto C Plus will run on Android 7.0 Nougat. Sporting a 5-inch display, the Moto C Plus has been tipped to come with an HD screen resolution at 720×1280 pixels, but Moto C is expected to come with a FWVGA screen resolution display. Both the upcoming Moto smartphones have been tipped to sport quad-core MediaTek processors. The 3G variant of Moto C is expected to come with a 32-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz, the Moto C Plus will reportedly feature 64-bit version with the same clock speed. The 4G variant of Moto C has been suggested to come with 64-bit architecture but come with a clock speed of 1.1GHz.

While both Moto C variants are said to come with 1GB of RAM, the Moto C Plus could feature 2GB of RAM. Coming to the storage, the Moto C Plus has been tipped to come with 16GB of built-in storage, while the Moto C is expected to offer either 8GB or 16GB storage. However, both smartphones are expected to come with expandable storage via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Moto C might come with a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash, while up front there is likely to be a 2-megapixel snapper with flash support. The Moto C Plus, on the other hand, is expected to come with an 8-megapixel rear snapper. As for battery, the Moto C is expected to feature a 2,350mAh unit, while the Moto C Plus is expected to come with a 4,000mAh unit.

Moto E4

Moto E4 has been in news, not because it is the successor to last year’s Moto E3, but because it is anticipated to come with 4,000mAh battery. OnLeaks has again shared photos of the Moto E4, and the smartphone seems to have got a major design change. The smartphone will come with antenna bands running at the top and bottom. Also seen is a textured back panel, with a camera module, and the Motorola logo below it. Up front you have the selfie camera, an LED-flash, and a capsule-shaped fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. The power button and volume keys are place on the right hand side.
