The latest smartphone in the company's Phab series of phablets, or smartphone-tablet hybrids, the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus was first unveiled in June, alongside the Lenovo Phab 2 and Lenovo Phab 2 Pro.
As the name suggests, the PHAB 2 Plus is the successor to the PHAB Plus that was launched in India last year. Lenovo has changed a lot in terms of the design, and the new phablet is more in line with the current trends. The company has used aluminum alloy to build the device, and along with the 2.5D curved glass, it adds to the overall premium factor. One thing to note though is that the PHAB 2 Plus has a “smaller” 6.4-inch display compared to the 6.8-inch display on its predecessor.

The PHAB 2 Plus flaunts a massive 6.4-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by a MediaTek MT8783 octa-core processor paired with MaliT720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The device also offers 32GB onboard storage, which is expandable up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card.
Apart from the dual-camera setup at the back, the Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus features a dual 13-megapixel camera setup and 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfie lovers. Other features include a fingerprint scanner placed at the back, and a 4,050mAh battery that the company says is good enough for up to 23 hours of talktime and up to 17 days on standby mode. The phablet also comes with support for Dolby ATMOS and Dolby Audio Capture 5.1 surround sound.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro-USB port. On the software front, the device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box.
