Successor to the Galaxy J3 (2016), the upcoming smartphone is expected to come with improvements over its predecessor. The smartphone has already been cleared by the FCC in the US, received Bluetooth certification and has now been spotted on benchmarking website GFXBench. Recently, press renders of the Galaxy J3 (2017) had been leaked online which showed what the smartphone could look like.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) specifications and features

The GFXBench lists the Galaxy J3 (2017) with model number SM-J327, which is different from SM-J327P leaked before. This adds weight to earlier leaks about there being two variants of the upcoming smartphone. According to the benchmark listing, the Galaxy J3 (2017) is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon quad-core processor, Adreno 308 GPU, and 1.5GB of RAM. It is expected to feature 16GB onboard storage.

In the photography department, the Galaxy J3 (2017) could come with 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, face detection, HDR and touch focus. Up front there is likely to be a 2-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Taking the specifications into context, we can assume that this Galaxy J3 (2017) with model number SM-J327 could be the lower variant. This smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 2,600mAh battery, and Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 1.5GB of RAM.
