Honor has taken the wraps off the Honor 6X smartphone for international markets at CES 2017. Launched in China last year, the smartphone is set to go on sale today in other countries including India, with prices starting from $249 (Rs 17,000 approximately).
Successor to the Honor 5X, the talking point of the Honor 6X is the dual-camera setup at the back. Once a feature for the flagship smartphones, dual-cameras have trickled down to mid-range devices, and expect this trend to continue this year. The camera setup on the Honor 6X includes a 12-megapixel auto-focus snapper with PDAF support and a secondary 2-megapixel snapper for achieving depth of field and DSLR-like bokeh effect. For selfie lovers, there is an 8-megapixel camera up front. The company proudly claims that the smartphone has been designed with youngsters in mind, who love photo filters.
