Samsung launched the Galaxy C9 Pro in China back in October, which is the company’s first device to boast 6GB of RAM. While there’s been no official announcement yet, it seems like Samsung is planning on bringing the smartphone to India as early as next week.
SamMobile reports that Samsung will launch the Galaxy C9 Pro in India on January 18. The smartphone is already available in countries like China, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia among others, where it is priced around Rs 31,600. In India though, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be priced above the Galaxy A9 Pro, which was launched in India towards the end of last year for Rs 32,490.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro specifications and features
As far as specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro features a 6-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 octa-core chipset paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 6GB RAM. There is also 64GB onboard storage, which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the phablet is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and 1080p video recording capabilities. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. The phablet also features a 4,000mAh battery, fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, and Cirrus HiFi Codec for better audio performance.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. On the software front, the phablet runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out-of-the-box wrapped under TouchWiz UI.
