Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro live images leak hint at metal body, fingerprint scanner


Rumors about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy C7 Pro continue to trickle in. The smartphone is widely expected to be launched sometime this month, though there is no word on an official date  but according to gsmarena report, possible release date being January 21. Now, a set of alleged live photos of the Galaxy C7 Pro have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse at what the upcoming smartphone could look like.

The photos, first spotted by Slashleaks, show off the front and the back of the phone. The Galaxy C7 Pro is seen in a gold color, and covered in a transparent case. One of leaked photos show the About Phone screen, which confirms the device name — Galaxy C7 Pro, with the model number SM-C7010.



The Galaxy C7 Pro is seen flaunting an all-metal unibody design, with the rear camera placed in the center, along with the LED flash on the right. The Samsung logo is located just below the camera lens. The company has also opted for an interesting antenna design, which are now a set of three lines running along the top and bottom of the smartphone. Up front, the screen dominates the real-estate with the home button below it. This physical button is believed to have a fingerprint sensor embedded.



Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro specifications and features 

From what we know so far, the Galaxy C7 Pro is said to feature a 5.7-inch full HD (1080p) display. At the heart is likely to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626 processor paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is also likely to be 64GB built-in storage, but there is no word on a microSD card slot yet.

In the photography department, the Galaxy C7 Pro is expected to sport a 16-megapixel camera on the rear. Up front there is said to be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is expected to be armed with a 3,000mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support. On the software front, the Galaxy C7 Pro will most likely run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

Samsung didn’t launch the Galaxy C5 or the Galaxy C7 in India. That said, the Galaxy C7 Pro was recently spotted on Zauba, which could be a hint at an eventual India launch.
