Samsung has finished the beta testing of Android 7.0 Nougat for its Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge smartphones. The company has announced that it will try to bring the final OS version to these handsets by January 2017.
Although not much is known about the features Samsung will bring with the new OS version, an Android 7.0 Nougat manual for the S7 and the S7 edge has now given some hints as to what to expect. The PDF manual is claimed to have been available on Samsung's regional servers and websites.
According to SamMobile report, the revised Galaxy S7 edge manual is available in English, Dutch, and German, while the S7 manual seems to have been updated only in English for the time being. The manual gives us a good look at the new user interface that will grace the two devices with the Nougat update, and our What’s New With Nougat series is what you should be reading to see the major changes that it brings to the S7 and S7 edge.
A few screenshots seen in the manual show the behaviour of the new top row of Quick Toggles. There are also a few screenshots of the camera UI. The camera UI now has a cleaner look and easy access to certain camera controls. It also appears to be able to lock the focus at one spot and then drag it to another spot with different exposure settings.
Also seen is an actionable lock screen where users can simply swipe a notification from the lock screen to directly open the related app. Nothing else is mentioned in the documents.
