Lenovo Z2 Plus price slashed by Rs 3,000 ahead of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 India launch

Lenovo Z2 Plus was easily one of the best smartphones of 2016, and one that you couldn’t miss out on in the mid-range segment. Now the smartphone has received a price cut, which makes it an even better value-for-money proposition. You can’t help but marvel at the timing of this price tag, with Xiaomi set to soon launch the Redmi Note 4 in India.

Lenovo has announced a price cut for its Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone in India. Effective from Monday noon (12pm IST), the Lenovo Z2 Plus's price will start at Rs. 14,999 (for the 32GB model), down from the launch price of Rs. 17,999 - a price cut of Rs. 3,000. The Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone will be available to buy via both Amazon India and Flipkart, in Black and White colour variants.

The 64GB model of the Lenovo Z2 Plus will now be available at Rs. 17,499, down from the launch price of Rs. 19,999 - a discount of Rs. 2,500 - and will be stocked by retail stores. With Monday's sale, Lenovo Z2 Plus is not exclusive to Amazon anymore.

Armed with a 3,500mAh battery along with support for Quick Charge 3.0 and a feature called intelligent charge cut-off (ICC) to ensure it doesn’t overcharge.

The company is also touting the U Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor on the home button, which is claimed to deliver 99.7 percent accuracy, get better with time with its self-learning module, and work with sweaty hands as well.
