Samsung starts rolling out Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in India, Germany and Russia:Samsung Pay teased coming to India


After rolling out Android 7.0 to its current flagship smartphones in China, France, Malaysia, South Korea, UAE, and the UK, Samsung has started the rollout of Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in Russia, Germany and India.

Users in Germany are receiving the Nougat as build number G935FXXU1DQAO. Although, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices in Russia have also started receiving the update, the build number for the same wasn’t available at the time of filing this story.

Users in Indian are receiving the Galaxy S7  Nougat as build number G930FXXU1DQAZ has a file size of 1285.64MB. The Android 7.0 update for the Galaxy S7 edge, which has a file size of 1290.74MB, flaunts the build number G935FXXU1DQAZ.

In case you are yet to receive the OTA update, you can manually check for it by heading to Settings » About device » System updates.

The update brings with it many new features, bug fixes, quick settings controls, an improved battery saver mode, security updates, 70 plus new Emoji and the multi-window support.

You’ll be able to switch between apps more easily and do more without opening apps at all. New settings also let you block apps from eating up cellular data in the background, improvements to TouchWiz, Always-On-Display.

There is one more surprise for the Samsung fans in India - Samsung Pay app comes as part of the Nougat update. There is an official teaser included, which says "The future of payments is coming soon!". This could only mean Samsung is getting ready to expand the Samsung Pay service to India soon. you will be able to use Samsung Pay in upcoming weeks or months.
