Vivo Y66 with 16-megapixel selfie camera, 3GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery launched in India for Rs 14,990: Specifications, features


Vivo added another selfie-centric smartphone to its portfolio this week with the launch of the Y66. The Vivo Y66 is priced at Rs 14,990 and boasts a 16-megapixel front camera with ‘Moonlight Glow’ flash.

The Y66 continues with the same design language as other Vivo smartphones with a metal unibody design. The antenna bands run on the top and bottom of the rear panel, and physical buttons are limited to the power and volume rockers on the right. The smartphone is available in color choices of Crown Gold and Rose Gold.

The smartphone boasts a 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top for protection. It is powered with a 64 bit octa core Mediatek 6750 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

In terms of photography, other than the selfie-focused 16-megapixel front camera with flash, the Y66 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The camera is capable of video recording in 1080p resolution, and includes multiple camera filters and modes.

It is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with FunTouch OS 3.0 layered above. Connectivity options on the Vivo Y66 include dual-SIM support (via hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS, and OTG.
