As said earlier, the main highlight of the smartwatches is Google’s latest operating system for wearables, Android Wear 2.0. The latest update brings in a slew of new features and improvements. Both Android and iPhone users can use the Android Wear 2.0-based watches to access apps like AccuWeather, Android Pay, Bring!, Foursquare, Google Fit, Google Messenger, Google Play Music, Lifesum, Robinhood, Runkeeper, Runtastic, Strava, Telegram, Uber and more.
Another major highlight of Android Wear 2.0 is inclusion of Google Assistant. This feature is available in English and German languages on Android Wear and will be available in other languages in coming months. Other minor changes include a new input method on Android Wear with a small keyboard that works with swiping and also supports smart replies. You can also now personalize Android Wear always-on watch face with content and actions from select apps.
Google has also revealed which of the smartwatches will be getting Android Wear 2.0 update. The list includes ASUS ZenWatch 2 & 3, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, Casio PRO TREK Smart, Fossil Q Founder, Fossil Q Marshal, Fossil Q Wander, Huawei Watch, LG G Watch R, LG Watch Urbane & 2nd Edition LTE, Michael Kors Access Smartwatches, Moto 360 2nd Gen, Moto 360 for Women, Moto 360 Sport, New Balance RunIQ, Nixon Mission, Polar M600 and TAG Heuer Connected.
Both LG Watch Sport and Watch Style are compatible with snap-and-swap 18mm leather and silicone bands. The two watches come with a rotating power button that lets you scroll through your stream, bring up the app launcher, or get help from your Google Assistant.
