Moto G5, G5 Plus to launch at MWC 2017 today; here’s how to watch the live stream at 9PM IST



After a series of leaks, rumors and speculations, Moto G5 and G5 Plus are set to be officially launched. The company is holding an event today in Barcelona, where it will be launching the successor to the last year’s Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones. So what if you are not in Barcelona, you can still watch the launch as Lenovo brand Moto should live stream the event on either Lenovo's or Moto's YouTube page. Alternatively, you can follow updates on Lenovo's Twitter and Facebook handles as well. The Moto G5, G5 Plus launch live stream will start at 9PM IST tonight.

Both the smartphones are said to come with changes in terms of design and specifications. Of all the leaks we have come across so far, the Moto G5 Plus is said to come with metal frame on the sides along with gently curved corners. The home button will be placed up front, which will also double up as the fingerprint scanner. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge. Leaks also suggests that the smartphone will also come with Moto branding on the front. According to the leaked renders, the Moto G5 Plus looks similar to the Moto G4 Plus but with some fresh improvements. Small elements like Moto branding on the front and circular rear camera setup are new.

Rumors suggest that the phones could be priced around $300, which is approximately Rs 20,400 in the international markets. In India, the Moto G5, G5 Plus will  be launched in March soon after the MWC 2017.

On the other hand, the Moto G5, being the smaller variant, is likely to feature a smaller 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it is expected to come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It is expected to be fuelled by a 2,800mAh battery and run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
