Samsung teases tablet on MWC 2017 event invite, announcement set for Feb 26

Samsung has sent out invites to its MWC 2017 event with a sneaky image of a tablet on it. The event will be held on February 26 at 7 p.m. in Barcelona. The invitation also teases the Galaxy Tab S3 by showing its lower bezel.

The FCC certification, spotted by priceraja, doesn’t really reveal a lot of details of the device, though suggests there will be a model with both Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. The device bearing model SM-T825 also comes with a sketch that reveals a single rear-facing camera lens near the top of the back. Talking about other elements of the design, the tablet has a physical home button on the front, which could also double up as a fingerprint scanner.  Looking at the leaked photos and specifications, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 series will be nothing more than a minor upgrade over the Galaxy Tab S2.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 specifications and features

From what we know so far, there are rumors that the tablet will launch in 8-inch and 9.7-inch display variants. Both variants are said to feature 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. At the heart, the tablet will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset with Adreno 510 GPU. Samsung might launch two variants of the tablet with one being Wi-Fi only under the model number SM-T820, while the other will feature both Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity carrying the model number SM-T825. The device is said to be paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. There are rumors that the device will support expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card.
