The Nokia 6 has been already launched exclusively for the Chinese market in January this year. When announcing the smartphone, HMD Global explained that the reason for choosing China over other markets. The company said China “is a reflection of the desire to meet the real world needs of consumers in different markets around the world. With over 552 million smartphone users in China in 2016, a figure that is predicted to grow to more than 593 million users by 2017, it is a strategically important market where premium design and quality is highly valued by consumers.”

The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch in-cell full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with X6 LTE modem and paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB on internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. The smartphone is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. In the photography segment, the Nokia 6 features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF along with an 8 megapixel front snapper with f/2.0 aperture for selfies or video calling. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery. Now, according to the latest reports, it is expected that the company will re-showcase Nokia 6 at the MWC.
In addition to the Nokia 6, there will be a Nokia 3 and a Nokia 5 in the series. Both these smartphones are rumored to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Nokia 3 will be an entry-level Android smartphone. Although details about the specs of the smartphone are scarce at the moment, it is expected to cost around $150 (approximately Rs 10,000).
The Nokia 5, on the other hand, has been detailed in a handful of leaks. Dubbed internally as Nokia Heart, the smartphone is expected to boast a 5.2-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, and feature a 12-megapixel rear camera. It is expected to cost slightly higher than the Nokia 3 at $200 (approximately Rs 13,500), Venture Beats reports.
The Nokia 3310 tribute is expected to be a modern version of the iconic feature phone from the early 2000s. Back then, when Nokia was still a household name associated with building robust mobile devices, the Nokia 3310 was one of the most popular mobile phones with an incredible battery life and sturdy build. Given that Nokia has finally moved to the touch-based era of smartphones, it will be interesting if this new version will be able to strike the chords right, given the immense amount of nostalgia around it. Based on reports, it is expected that this new version will be priced competitively at just $60 (approximately Rs 4,000).
