The phone additionally supports microSD cards for storage expansion, along with a fingerprint sensor at the front embedded into the home button, as well as a 5-megapixel front camera and 12-megapixel rear camera.

What’s common to both smartphones is the fingerprint sensor at the front of the phone, along with Android Nougat 7.0 software. The Moto G5 has a 2800mAh removable battery, while the G5 Plus has a 3000mAh removable battery. Additionally, the Moto G5 Plus is compatible with Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology. Both phones support dual-SIM connectivity.

Additionally, a lot of Motorola’s popular features, including Moto Display and shake gestures, are available on the phones. Both phones will also be getting Google Assistant, a feature that was originally launched only for Google’s Pixel smartphones, but is expected to roll out widely on many phones this year. The phones will be available in fine gold and lunar gray color options, and are a marked departure from the typical Moto G-range look and feel.
