Samsung Galaxy S8 spotted in live images, videos ahead of March 29 launch


Samsung may have announced launch date for its upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship but that hasn't stopped the leaks around the handset. The alleged Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have been leaked in an image showing the handsets in working condition. Additionally, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have been spotted in fresh live videos showing the handsets in their full glory.

The new leaked image, posted on Slashleaks, corroborate to earlier leaks, claiming design overhaul with no physical home button at the front. The new leaked image also purportedly shows redesigned navigation on-screen buttons. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on AT&T network, which is seen in the new leaked image.

Separately, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been spotted in a short hands-on video showing the interface of the unannounced handset. In another short video, both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are spotted in a video that seems to have emerged out of China.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to launch in two variants, one with 5.8-inch and second with 6.2-inch display sizes. The 6.2-inch variant will be called ‘Galaxy S8 Plus’. At the heart, the smartphone will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 8895 processor or Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The bigger variant (Galaxy S8 Plus), is likely to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

On the camera front, the smartphone is said to sport a 12-megapixel camera on the rear with f/1.7 aperture. Up front, the Galaxy S8 could sport an 8-megapixel selfie camera with auto-focus. The Galaxy S8 will be armed with a 3,250mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is all set to launch next month. The South Korean company at its Sunday keynote in Barcelona confirmed that Galaxy Unpacked 2017 will be held on March 29, where the company is set to unveil its next flagship. Previous reports indicate the smartphone will only go on sale by April 21.
